Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name. When you use the practice tools, we store the tests you generate: passages, questions, your answers, timing data, scores, and review activity. If you take the free guest sample without an account, that sample is tracked only in your browser and is not linked to an account.

How we use your information

  • To provide your account, save your practice history, and let you resume saved tests.
  • To generate practice passages and questions when you request a new test.
  • To calculate the accuracy, pace, and trend metrics shown on your dashboard.
  • To secure your account and prevent abuse of the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your practice data for advertising.

Third-party services

We use trusted service providers to operate the site: a hosting and database provider that stores account and practice data, an authentication provider that secures sign-in (including optional Google sign-in), and an AI provider that generates the passages and questions you request. These providers process data only on our behalf to run the service.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and to track whether you have already used the free guest sample in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

Your practice history is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, and we will remove it. The free guest sample is stored only in your browser and can be removed by clearing your browser data.

Children's privacy

DAT RC Trainer is intended for students preparing for the Dental Admission Test, typically aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
